sealant (sē’ – lənt): A material used for sealing something so as to make it airtight or watertight.
Foam sealant tape is a compressible foam tape that combines the sealing properties of closed cell foam with the flexibility and conformability of an open cell tape. Sure-Seal™ foam sealant replaces caulk, spray foam, putty and other liquid sealants to provide an airtight and watertight seal for over 20 years.
Sure-Seal™ saturated foam sealant tape completely blocks air, vapor, moisture and dust infiltration for window and door applications including joint sealing, gap filling, insulation, gasketing, weatherstripping and more.
Peel the foam away from the liner and attach Sure-Seal™ foam sealant tape to the area you wish the seal, but take care not to stretch the tape. Compress foam sealant tape down to at least 50% to achieve air and water-tight sealing. To choose the appropriate thickness, estimate the maximum gap to be sealed and then double that. The width depends on the joint to be sealed.
Sure-Seal™ foam sealant is available in rolls of tape from 1/4” to 1-1/4” thick and custom slit from 3/16” to 39” wide. Tapes are provided on 3” core tubes with a paper liner on one side.
LAMATEK also provides custom Sure-Seal™ gaskets for the following:
- Window frame corners
- Irregular surfaces
- Joints and spaces
LAMATEK supplies kiss-cut custom gaskets on a roll with or without the surrounding matrix.
