sealant (sē’ – lənt): A material used for sealing something so as to make it airtight or watertight.
Expanding foam sealant tape is a compressible tape that combines the sealing properties of closed cell foam with the flexibility and conformability of an open cell tape. Sure-Seal™ foam sealant replaces caulk, spray foam, putty and other liquid sealants to provide an airtight and watertight seal for over 20 years.
Sure-Seal™ expanding foam sealant tape fills gaps and spaces to completely block air, vapor, moisture and dust infiltration, especially on irregular surfaces and spaces. Expanding foam tape does exactly as the name implies to fill gaps, seal joints, and provide insulation in window and door applications. Foam sealant tape is also great for gasketing, weatherstripping and more.

Application
Peel the foam away from the liner a few inches at a time and attach Sure-Seal™ foam sealant tape to the area you wish the seal, while taking care not to stretch the tape. Compress our expanding foam tape down to at least 50% in order to achieve air and water-tight sealing. To choose the appropriate thickness, estimate the maximum gap to be sealed and then double the measurement. The tape will expand to fill any irregularities on the substrate’s surface. The width depends on the joint to be sealed.
Put-up
Sure-Seal™ expanding foam tape is provided in semi-compressed rolls of tape from 1/4” to 1-1/4” thick and custom slit from 3/16” to 39” wide. Tapes are provided on 3” core tubes with a paper liner on one side.
